James Ronald Knittel age 77 of Athens, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Knittel was born August 15, 1935 in Johnson, TN to George Fred Knittel and Lela Leola Daugherty Knittel.
Services will be Thursday, May 23, 2013 11:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Dusty McLemore and Joseph Scott officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Knittel was a member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing golf.
Survived by his wife, Barbara Knittel of Athens; two daughters, Rhonda Lambert of Madison, AL and Donna Hornak of Hatboro, PA; son, Mike Knittel of Bristol, VA; sister, Jo Ann Dent of Nesbitt, MS.
