James-Ronald-Ron-Donaldson-1443950634Mr. James Ronald Donaldson, age 68 of Middleton, passed away Saturday evening at the Bolivar General Hospital.

James Ronald Donaldson was born April 13, 1947, to the late James Walter Donaldson, and Nannie Bryant Donaldson in Hardeman Co. He grew up here and resided in Memphis for years before moving back in November, 2006. He married Andrea Diane Teague, who survives, on July 15, 1989, served in the US Army for two years and worked for thirty-seven years with the United States Post Office. He also worked 3-4 years with Corrections Corporation of America.

Mr. Donaldson had previously served as a deacon at the Ketchum Rd. Church of Christ in Memphis and presently was a deacon at the Middleton Church of Christ. He loved the Lord and was not bashful to proclaim it. Mr. James was a benevolent individual who was always helping people. His favorite past-times included fishing, gardening, and riding his tractor. He was an artist, who enjoyed working with charcoal, and dearly loved his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Donaldson is survived by his wife, Andrea Donaldson of Middleton; two daughters, Daryce Donaldson-Smith of Memphis and Kennedi Donaldson of Middleton; a son Kyle Donaldson of Middleton; two sisters, Dottie Hogan and Nancy Donaldson of Middleton; a brother, Lynn Donaldson of Middleton; two grandchildren, Taylor M. Smith and Mirenna C. Smith; a nephew, Tommy Hogan; a niece, Jacinda Allen; and a great-niece and nephew, Konner and Holli.

Mr. James is preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother John Thomas Donaldson.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Middleton Church of Christ.
