Mr. James Richard Green, age 74 of Lynnville, TN passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 at his brother’s home. Mr. Green was born on December 25, 1945 in Lewisburg, TN to Robert Grover Green, Jr., and Nettie Frances (June) Goad Green.
Mr. Green is survived by his wife, June Grisham Green; son, Mike Green and wife Jenny; daughter, Kim Green Gordon and husband Scott; grandchildren, Emily Davis (Brandon), Gracie Green, Michael Green, Mary Kate Green and Clara Gordon; great-granddaughter, Mahoney Nicole; brother, Joe Green; sister, Brenda Pack (Gerald Wayne); several nieces and nephews.
Jim served as an alderman for the city of Lynnville, TN. He was an award-winning artist and art teacher at Athens State University. Jim was a storyteller, writer, outdoorsman, fisherman and loved dearly by his family and friends.
There will be a graveside service for Mr. Green at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Sandlin Cemetery with Mike Green and Darryl Brooks officiating.
