James Richard Carter, age 63 of Jasper, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024 at his residence.
Ricky was a wonderful master tradesman, including welding, woodworking, automotive as well as heavy equipment mechanic. He loved his family and fishing. His humor was unmatched. He will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel.
Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his Mother and Father-Betty and Joe Carter; Paternal Grandparents-Alva and James “Jim” Carter; Maternal Grandparents-Jessie Lois and Hiram Dunn.
He is survived by his Wife-Nancy M. Jones Carter; Son-James Aaron Carter; Sisters-Carol Carter Coleman and Sandra Carter Chamness; Brother-Joseph Michael Carter; Grandchild-Ethan Carter.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
