James Ray Clemons, 76, of Florence, passed away March 26, 2018. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 29th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Florence. A celebration of his life will follow at the church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kevin Johnson, Dr. Gerald Lord and Rev. Jeremy Johnson officiating. A private burial will be held in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Jim was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Florence where he served as a deacon and was a member of the Joshua Sunday school class. He was employed as a crane operator for Reynolds Metals and Wise Alloys, where he retired with 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Clemons; brother, Ed Clemons; and sister, Helen Farr. Survivors include his loving wife, Pamelia Bull Clemons; sons, James Todd Clemons (Melanie) of Cullman and William Caldwell Clemons of Florence; grandchildren, Lexie and Jake Clemons; several nieces and nephews.
