James Randall Swain of Lewisburg, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born in Nashville, TN on December 24, 1946, to Raymond and Mary Katherine Swain.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the chapel of Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home from 1:00PM until the funeral hour of 3:00PM. Burial will follow at Middleview Cemetery.
James found great fulfillment in his career as a truck driver. His undeniable love for the open road and the freedom it brought him made it more than just a job; it was his passion. Outside of work, James found joy in watching racing. He would eagerly follow the battles on the track, his enthusiasm evident in every cheer and every leap from his seat. In his quiet moments, James enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, sharing stories, laughter and frying catfish.
James is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Raymond and Paul Swain. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Swain; his children, Candie Swain (Ken), Walter Randall Swain (Daphne), Crystal Victoria Gonzalez, Jamie Ann Jennings, and Robert Allen Hartsfield III (K.C.), his sister, Rita Gower, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
