James Ralph Cater, Sr., age 91 of Jasper, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at his residence.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Bennett Cemetery. Michael Jackson will officiate.
Mr. Cater was preceded in death by his Wife-Betty Jane Cater; Daughter-Tammy Renee Cater; Sons-Micheal Lee Cater and D. Keith Cater; Father-Robert Cater; Mother-Ruth Pate; Sisters-Delton Hill and Yvonne Long.
He is survived by his Sons-James Ralph Cater, Jr. and Rex Steven Cater; Sister-Bonnie Cater; Brother-John Cater; Grandchildren-Cindy Cater Hamby (Brent), Crystal Cater Bagby (Brandon), Stephen Cater (Nina), Jennifer Cater Blackburn (Chris), Jeff Cater and Jacob Cater; Great Grandchildren-Hannah Wadsworth, Sierra Carroll Martinez (Jose), Brody Wadsworth, Olivia Carroll, Mattie Jane Carroll, Brantley Blackburn, Evelyn Blackburn, Kyra Cater and Chloe Cater; Great-Great Grandchild-Ian Colburn.
