A memorial service for James “Poppy” Christian will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Peck Funeral Home. A visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:00 PM. “Poppy” was a born to Arthur and Christian and Lottie Reeder Christian in Morgan County on April 14, 1947. He was retired from the Army National Guard and worked security for Allied Barton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lottie Christian, brothers, Alvin, Edmond, and sister Charlotte Christian. He is survived by sons, Jimmy Christian of Hartselle, Shawn Cole of Maine; daughters Marie Christian of Decatur, Leora Hagermore of Decatur, Virginia Cole-Plourde of Florida; brothers Arthur “Art” Christian of Oklahoma, Donald Christian of Oklahoma, Fred Christian of Oklahoma, Lyndal Christian; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
