James Phillip Pugh, age 71, of Trussville, AL passed away on June 15, 2024. James was born on January 25, 1953 in Haleyville, AL. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed woodworking.
He is preceded in death by his sons, Phillip Anthony Woodard Pugh and Jordan Phillip Pugh; brother, Mike Pugh; and parents, James and Audrey Pugh.
James in survived by his loving wife, Billie Pugh; children, Jeff Pugh (Allison), Barbie Ellenburg, and Andrew Ellenburg; grandchildren, Ryan McLemore and Avery Ellenburg; and nephews, Kevin Pugh and Tim Pugh.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 1pm to 2pm at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home in Dora, AL. The funeral service will begin in the chapel at 2pm with Brother Buddy Sparkman officiating. Interment will immediately follow with Army Honors at the adjoining cemetery, New Horizon Memorial Gardens.
