James Philip Hooie, 56, of Rogersville passed away Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a member of Rogersville Church of Christ, retired from International Paper and most recently worked at Southeast Drive Systems. Philip loved camping, cycling, boating and spending time with his grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 30th, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Rogersville Church of Christ. Friends may visit from 10 – 12 at the church. Pallbearers will be Trent Patterson, Brock Owens, Tony Davis, Ronnie Phillips, Andy Eady, Johnny Tidwell and honorary, Tanner Owens, Ryan Hardy, Dwight Thompson and Chris Bishop.
Philip was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Hooie. He is survived by his wife, Regina Hooie; children, Lee (Leah) Hooie and Leslie (Caleb) Jones; grandchildren, Sarah Fay Hooie and Emilee Jane-Ann Hooie; brother, Alan (Melissa) Hooie; nephews, Hunter Hooie and Devin Hooie; special buddies, Tanner, Emery and Renee Owens; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
