Funeral services for Mr. James “Pee Wee” Butler, age 82, will be Friday October 4, 2024, at 1pm in the chapel of Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home with Mike Sellers officiating, burial will follow in Gibson County Memory Gardens in Gibson, TN. Visitation will be Thursday October 3, 2024, from 5pm until 8pm and Friday October 4, 2024, from 11am until 1pm service time.
Mr. Butler, retired after 50+ years with Jones Manufacturing, passing away on Monday September 30, 2024, at his residence.
Mr. Butler enjoyed little league baseball where he served as umpire for several years and he refereed basketball games. Mr. Butler also volunteered with the Sheriff’s Department and was a faithful life-long Christian of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Donnie (Morris) Butler; his wife, Norma Jean Butler; two sisters, Carol Peterson and Becky Knight; and two brothers, Thomas Butler and Bobo Butler.
Mr. Butler is survived by, a daughter, Suzie Cox and husband Paul of Humboldt, TN; four sons, Nick Butler and wife Shawn, Chad Butler and wife LaCinda all of Humboldt, TN, Scott Butler and wife Sandra of Milan, TN, and Jason Butler of Medina, TN; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
