James P. Parker, 84, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born December 9, 1939 to the late Grady Parker and the late Bertha Parker Cayson Wallace in Red Bay, AL. He retired from Decatur Park District in Illinois after 30 years of dedication and was a member of First Baptist Church Tremont. James enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his family.
Celebration of Life services will be at 6:00 pm on Monday November 4, 2024 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Humphres officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday November 4, at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Parker of Fulton; sons, Greg Parker of Fulton, and Brian Parker of Fulton; daughters, Tanya (William) Reid of Fulton, Samantha Hopson of Fulton, and Michelle (Chris) Hillis of Albertville, AL; grandchildren, Kayla, Megan, Austin, Savannah, Blake, Conner, Chasiddy, and Sam; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Alyne, Lilian, Raiyven, and Ezekiel Perlis; sister, Mary Hood of Fulton, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Parker and Bertha Parker Wallace; brothers, Gertis Parker, and Jimmy Parker; sisters, Milbert Yielding, Moveline Garrett, Lucy Humphres, and Avedale Garrett.
