James Oscar Weathers – Obituary

Graveside service for James Oscar Weathers, 75, of Mount Hope will be Friday, February 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Barry Cater and Charles Foreman officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Weathers, who died Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Lawrence Medical Center, was born May 4, 1937, in Etowah County to Cecil Weathers and Jessie Daniel Weathers. He retired as a general manager for Neely-Coble and was a member of Flower Hill Baptist Church. His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, Jimmy Weathers and Andrea of Mount Hope; foster sister, Marie Jarmon of Albertville; two grandchildren, Wesley Weathers and Leah Weathers, both of Mount Hope; and his son’s mother, Patricia Allen Weathers.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Weathers, Glenn Weathers, John Weathers, Tommy Morgan, Wesley Weathers and Bobby Bassham.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Black, Jamey Morgan, James Brooks, Andy Cantrell and Joel Reagin.
