James O’Neal Shavers passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 at his home in Stevenson, he was 85 years old. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Rudder Funeral Home-Stevenson from 5-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 in the chapel of Rudder Funeral Home beginning at 2:00PM with Bro. Brandon Evans officiating and burial to follow in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Doris Ann Gossett Shavers; Sons, James (Carla Stewart) Shavers and Neil (Carolyn) Shavers; brothers, Paul Shavers, Dean Shavers, Fred Coffman, and James Roy Garner; sisers, Edwina Benson and Barbara Jean Tamon; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Mr. Shavers is preceded in death by his parents James Nathaniel and Mary Lou Leinberry Shavers and a brother Wayne Phillips.
