James Ollie “Bud” Thrasher, 79, of Florence, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024. There will be a memorial service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights with Ed Thrasher officiating.
Bud was a retired equipment operator with the City of Florence and was preceded in death by his wife, Lurleen Thrasher; parents, James and Velma Thrasher; and sisters, Ethel Forsythe, Betty Simpson, and Edna Roberson; and brother-in-law, Bobby Givens.
Bud is survived by his children, Angela Winters and Amanda Thrasher; brother, Ed Thrasher (Natasha); sisters, Margaret Chaney (Larry) and Lavinia Givens; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are Randy Givens, Sammy Givens, Stanley Givens, and Jimmy Cassel.
