James KingJames (Nub) Edward King, age 88, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Friday, June 28, 2024, at his residence.

He was born March 3, 1936, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late Willie Bob and Alva Mooningham King. He was a machine operator at Sanford prior to his retirement. He mowed lawns for many people across Marshall County and thoroughly enjoyed working. He also enjoyed gardening in his spare time.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Michael King; two sisters, Hattie Mae Brown and Olene Dockery; two brothers, Thomas King and Carl Wayne King and a daughter-in-law Tonya Watkins King.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Jett King; son Tommy King of Cornersville; daughters, Dianne (Kent) Krueger of Michigan and Marie Tomlin of Lewisburg; sister Linda Faye (George) Burrow of Lewisburg; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Tracey Baker King of Lewisburg; sister-in-law Elvonda Gipson King of Cornersville; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held at Cornersville Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home, 310 North Main St., Cornersville, TN, with burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery – Ostella.
