James Nathan Duke Sr., age 78, of Castalian Springs, TN passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Thursday, November 10,200 in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Randy Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 11am until time of service at 1pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Duke was born February 24, 1944 in Springfield to the late Cordell and Barbara Evelyn Sircy Duke Sr. He worked as an assembly worker at Peterbilt Motors and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Duke was preceded in death by brothers, Cordell Duke Jr., Lee Duke and Charles Duke; and a sister, Reba McClanahan.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rebecca Ann Elmore Duke; son, James Nathan “Jimmy” (Alana Rae) Duke Jr.; grandchildren, Nathan (Kaylen) Duke, Ryan Duke and Jamie (Luke) Corbitt; and 1 great grandchild, Levi James Duke.
