James Monroe Estes, 76, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. He was self-employed in the used auto and junk car business and was a member of Troy First Baptist Church.
Services were held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Bro. Greg Herndon officiating. Burial followed in Eddington Cemetery.
He is survived by his five daughters, Julie (Kevin) Powell, Sandy (Terry) Street, Brenda (Ronny) Street, Debbie Estes (boyfriend, Billy Ellingburg, and Daughter, Lizzie), and Shelley (Daniel) Wells; one son, Ray Estes; 10 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and one brother, Tommy Estes of Indiana. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Presley Estes; his parents; six brothers; and three sisters.
