James Mitchel Cook, 74 of Arley, entered into rest on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at his home.

Mitchel was born on August 9, 1947 in Jasper, Alabama. He worked with the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier until his retirement.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 1-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held at 2pm. Brother Jonathan Uncapher will officiate. Burial will follow in Arley First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mitchel is survived by his wife, Deborah; sons, Todd Cook and his wife Janet, and Clifton Cook and his wife Dana; grandchildren, Caleigh Harris and her husband Ryan, Jadon Cook, Ava Cook, Khloie Cook and Addie Rose; mother, Wanda Cook; sister, Reta Gunter and her husband Charlie; and nephew, Nick Gunter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence  Cook; and son, Matt Cook.
