James Michael Richerson, also known as Mike Woods, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at the age of 57. Mike was a native of Moulton Heights, AL. He was affectionately known as Swamp Dog. Mike was a loving father and grandfather.
Mike is survived by his mother, Gladys Vandiver; four daughters, Keisha Wiggins, Laura Swopes, Sheneka Wiggins and Maquita Hampton; three sons, Michael Pruitt, Michael Preston and James Michael Swopes; 19 grandchildren and one great-grand-daughter; and special friend, Kim Powers.
A Celebration of Life will be today, July 25, 2015, at noon at Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Dr. George W. Franklin officiating. A time of visitation was Friday night from 6 until 7 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.
