F.12.18.24 Mike Graham.jpg James Michael Graham, age 72, of Russellville passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024.

Mike was a lifelong resident of Franklin County. He graduated from Phil Campbell High School in 1971, then received his B.S. degree from THE University of Alabama, where he was a proud Alumni, and Crimson Tide fan. He then proceeded to further his education at the University of North Alabama, where he received an EDS degree. Mike began his education career at East Franklin Jr. High School before taking on an administrative role as the principal at Tharptown Jr. High School. He later returned to his alma mater, Phil Campbell High School, to serve as their principal from 1987-1992, before finally moving into a different administrative role, working at the Franklin County Board of Education.

He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons. He also loved being in the outdoors with his two grandsons and greatly enjoyed watching them play sports.

Mike was a member of Russellville First Baptist Church for 42 years, where he raised his family. He was an active member in the church and always had a sincere love for his Church family.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, James Larry Graham and Doris Ann Graham. He is survived by his precious wife, JoAnn Golden Graham; son, Marty Graham; daughter-in-law, Lacy Jordan Graham; two amazing grandchildren, Hudson Jamieson Graham and Sterling Hayes Graham; uncle, Hoyt Dillard (Opal); and cousin, Cindy Bailey (Chris).

Pallbearers will be David Evett, David Grissom, Andy Elkins, Joey Harbin, Kendall Hamilton, and Marty Graham. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Hall, Gene Ellison, Wayne Ray, Calvin Parmer, Hugh Plott, and Terry Goodin.

Services will be held at Russellville First Baptist Church on Thursday, December 19, with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and the funeral service immediately following. Brother Chase Dowdy will be officiating the service.

Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville is assisting the family.
