Funeral Service for James Melvin Murcks, age 73, of Hanceville, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. David Estes officiating; interment in Bethlehem United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Murcks passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Cullman Regional. He was born June 29, 1949, to Melvin and Etta Lee Murcks.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Derrick; parents; brothers, Jimmy Murcks and Jerry Murcks; sisters, Martha White, Ola Taylor, and Magdalene England; and half-brother, Milton Murcks.
Survivors include his sons, Anthony (LeyAnn) Harris and Cody (Kristen) Murcks; daughter, Kristie (Jed) Wood; grandchildren, Jessica Nash, Mason Harris, Morgan Harris, Cooper Murcks, Canaan Murcks, and Kynleigh Murcks; sisters, Myra Estes and Faye Brown; partner, Gaynell Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
