James Melvin Luttrell, age 41 of Huntland, passed away at his residence on December 25, 2024. He was born on January 26, 1983, to Melvin Luttrell and Dana Ventress Luttrell in Fayetteville, Tennessee. James was a self-employed and talented craftsman in the construction industry. The only thing he loved more than work was God, his walk of faith began at the age of eighteen; his wife MC; his daughter, Ronnie, who was the light of his life; and his friends and family. James is preceded in death by his grandparents, Julian and Laura (Avis) Luttrell, and James and Helen (Poole) Ventress; and father-in-law, Charles Fanning. James is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Martha Carol; daughter, Ronnie Julian; parents, Melvin and Dana Luttrell; sister, Andrea (Dean) Binkley; sister-in-law, Hannah (Kevin) Posey; nephews, Austin (Ashley) George, Jack Posey, Oakley Posey; nieces, Arleigh Posey and Jessie Posey; mother-in-law, Ella Cox; two great nieces; and one great nephew. A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home from 5pm-8pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11am in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Mike Robertson, Bro. Rob Collins, and Bro. Daniel Couch officiating. Internment will immediately follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Huntland, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Bates Bauer, Chad Bradley, Kevin Posey, Jack Posey, Danny Vandiver, Troy Caldwell, Dusty Luttrell and Jeff Hill. Austin George, Oak Posey, and Howard Cox will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, there is an account set up at Citizens Community Bank in the name of Ronnie Luttrell for educational purposes.
