James Maxwell “Max” Frazier, age 78, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marie; son Dustin; daughter in law Nicole; and his pride and joy- his only grandson Grant. Mr. Frazier was preceded in death by his parents Floy and Ilene Frazier; and grandparents Otis and Berma Daniel and Tom and Della Frazier. Mr. Frazier was a member of Gadsden High, class of 1961, where he enjoyed being a trumpet player in the Tiger Band from 1959 until 1961. Upon graduation, he enrolled at Snead State followed by Jacksonville State. While at JSU, he was a member of ROTC Honor guard. He earned a major in business and a minor in economics. Shortly after graduation he started his long career in Flint, Michigan with Crawford and Company. After a couple of years he returned to his beloved hometown to work with Gay and Taylor. He was founder of Phillips and Frazier, Inc. where he enjoyed being an independent insurance adjuster from 1973 until 2019. Mr. Frazier was well known and respected around the state of Alabama as a member of the Independent Insurance Adjusters. Mr. Frazier was a member of the Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
