James Marvin Scott James Marvin Scott departed this life on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at the age of 80 years, 5 months, and 5 days. He was born in Savannah, Tennessee, on June 9, 1941, the son of the late Marvin Frank Scott and Hester Lee Hinton Scott. On February 12, 1966, he was united in marriage to Rebecca “Becky” Piercey, who preceded him in death on July 25, 2021.

James retired from F.S. Sperry Co. after 21 years, where he was a bricklayer. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union, enjoyed knife collecting, antiquing, and gardening.

James is survived by his children, Mark Scott and his wife Wanda of Savannah, Tennessee, Darrell Scott and his wife Mary of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Carol Davis and her husband Billy, and Susan Hennis and her husband Harry, all of Chesapeake, Virginia; nine grandhchildren; ten great grandchildren; five great-great granchildren; brother, Don Scott of Memphis, Tennessee; and sisters, Danna Porter of Savannah, Tennessee, Patricia Davidson of Florence, Alabama, and Peggy Steele of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by his sons, Bobby Scott and Billy Scott; grandson, Michael McKenzie; great grandson, Brendon King; and a brother, Bobby Lee Scott.
