James Malcolm Walden – Obituary

James Malcolm Walden, 90, of Toney, AL, died on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, in Meridianville, AL.
Born in Ardmore, TN, on July 2, 1923, he was the son of the late James Alfred Walden and the late Una Bell Dollar Walden. He was a member of the Church of Christ and lived most of his life in the Huntsville area. He was retired from the US Army. And was a member of the Cahaba Temple and the Blue Lodge Masons in Fayetteville, TN. As a young man he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Maxine Grant Walden, and a son: Leonard C. Walden.
Survivors include two sons: James Harland Walden, Athens, AL and Douglas Martin Walden of Hartselle, AL; daughter: Carolyn Maxine Jones of Deerpark, WA; brother: Thomas E. Walden of Locust Fork, AL; sisters: Catherine King of Pekin, IL, Sue Morgan of Locust Fork, AL, Margie Cross of Pekin, IL, and Betty Calvin of Pekin, IL; 12 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on December 4, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL with Bro. Jeff Walden officiating. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on December 4, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. until service time at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home.
