James Leander Clines, 59, died Sunday, April 9, 2023, at his Guntersville home.
Mr. Clines was born to Tom and Nila Clines on Nov. 4, 1963, in the Guntersville Hospital on Ringold Street. He attended Guntersville city schools.
Mr. Clines was a plumber until back problems required surgery and he went on disability. He had recently been diagnosed with cancer. He was an avid NASCAR fan with specific allegiances to Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Nila Jordan Clines of Guntersville; one brother, Keith Clines of Huntsville; one sister, Melissa Peebles (Bob) of Guntersville; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Clines, and sister, Sandra Winfrey.
A graveside service will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Marshall Memory Gardens with David Kirby officiating and Carr Funeral Home in charge.
