James Lawrence Doherty, Sr., 70, of Huntsville passed away Friday at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife: DeLois Doherty and one son: Shaun Doherty. Survivors include one son: James L. Doherty, Jr.; one brother: Robert Doherty; three sisters: Katherine DeGleau, Phyllis Ross and Trudy Coogan; two step-daughters: Dena Hall and Tina Baker; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be Wednesday 02/17/2016 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral followed by a Chapel service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Heidi Bender officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Berryhill funeral home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Shriners Hospital, St. Jude’s Hospital for Children or to one’s favorite charity.
