James “Lanny” Borden, 70, of Iuka, MS, passed from this life at his home on September 17, 2024. He was born on June 10, 1954, to JT ans Shirley Borden. Lanny graduated from Iuka High School in 1974. He spent 38 years of his life as a lineman at TCEPA. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his granddaughter play ball, and fishing. Lanny is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vicki Borden; a daughter, Sabrina; a son, Stephen; a granddaughter, Emma Kate; a sister, Rhonda; a brother, Mike; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 20, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Community Hospice, especially Leah McIntosh and Courtney Tigner. Donations may be made in Lanny’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
