James L. “Jimmy” Wann died on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016.
He was born and raised in Sheffield, Alabama, a graduate of Sheffield High School, and attended UNA. He was retired from TVA.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, from 10 a.m. to noon at Morrison Funeral Home with the funeral following in the funeral home chapel. Dr. Jack McLendon will officiate, and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Col. H.C. “Chick” and Mrs. Marie Hobson Wann, of Sheffield, Alabama. He was an avid Alabama football fan and loved his family and friends especially the joy of his life, his grandchildren.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Todd Wann (Krissy); grandchildren, Kyndall and Christian Wann, Muscle Shoals, Alabama; mother of his son, Rhonda Hennessee Wann;
his sister, Elizabeth Wann Nunley (David), Hazel Green; and brother, Callen Wann (Claire), Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
Pallbearers are Mike Hardeman, Danny Hardeman, Jamie Alexander, Mike Wann, Rusty Nelson, and Thomas Martin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Sheffield.
