James “June” Caruthers Perkins

James “June” Caruthers Perkins, age 82, of Beaverton, AL  passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Sunset Manor in Guin, AL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11:00am in the Otts Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. David Humbers to officiate. Burial to follow in the Beaverton Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

 

June was born on June 12, 1939 to the late Grady Perkins and the late Mildred Perkins in Vernon, AL. He attended Lamar County High School.  He attended church at Open Arms Ballard’s Church. He worked most of his life as a truck driver. June and Mary Nell owned and operated Crews Quick Stop for several years and June never met a stranger. June loved fishing, working in his yard, and spending time with family and friends. June was a loving husband. He cared for others and was generous to a fault.
