James “Jimmy” Jenkins Spann – Obituary

Mr. James “Jimmy” Jenkins Spann, 70, of Killen passed away on November 13, 2015 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.  He was a member of the Baptist church.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Stan Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Mr. Spann was preceded in death by his parents, John and Justa Jenkins Spann.

Survivors include his spouse, Pam Spann of Killen; sons, Jeffrey Spann of Birmingham, Drew Barnett (Kayla) of Fultondale, Will Smitherman (Caitlin) and Caleb Smitherman (Hailey) both of Killen; daughters, Karen Wilkerson (Glen) of Birmingham, and Joy Pate (Steven) of Gardendale; sister, Virginia “Jenny” Spann Griffith (Richard) of Birmingham; grandchildren, Weston, Bentley, Gunner and Ayden; brother-in-law, Tommy McCabe (Kristy) and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
