James “Jimmy” Franklin Williams of Boaz was born April 9, 1957. He passed away after a short illness at Marshall Medical Center South on November 28, 2020.
Jimmy was an avid Alabama football fan and Atlanta Braves fan. He enjoyed breakfast every moring with his friends at Jacks. Jimmy retired from Progress Rail after 20 years plus service.
He is survived by his Brother: Ronnie Burdine of Indiana, Aunts: Jo Lane Kirk of Piedmont, Helen Bowen of Cullman, Ruth Corey (Charlie) of Gadsden. He is preceded in death by his Mother: Betty Cook, Step-Dad Ethridge Cook, Dad, Richard Williams, Grandmother: Deortha Hand and Uncle: Robert Edward Cargal, Brother: Gary Burdine.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December2, 2020 at Boaz Carr Chapel with burial to follow at Marshall Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jo Lane Kirk will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Cousins and Friends. Honorary Pallbearers are Aaron and Hilda Stokers. Visitation will be 12 until 1 before the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
