James “Jimmy” Allen Dunn, 52, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Athens Limestone Hospital in Athens, Alabama.
Mr. Dunn has lived in the Elkmont community his entire life and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing and showing off his catch on the “My Catch Facebook Group” which he founded.
Mr. Dunn is preceded in death by his parents, David Richard Dunn and Gladys Marie Coats Dunn, as well as two sisters, one brother, and three nephews.
He is survived by his three daughters, Kelsey (Jeremiah) McKinley, Caitlyn (James) Scoggins, and Julie Phillips, one brother, David “Gunner” (Tina) Dunn, one sister, Sherry Dugger, as well as eight grandchildren: Rylee Grace, Ayden, Shaelyn, Oliver, Cody, Eli, Ajay, and Jayna.
There will be a visitation held for Mr. Dunn at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Chapel Service is scheduled for the following day, Saturday, June 1, 2024, again at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, and that service will begin at 2:00 PM. Bro. Rusty Lincoln will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery.
