Mr. James “Jim” Harold Peden, Jr., age 73, passed away on Sunday, December 01, 2024 at his residence in Chattanooga, TN. He was born on May 15, 1951 in McMinnville, Tennessee, graduated McMinnville Central High School in 1969, was a graduate of MTSU, and earned his Masters Degree from Vanderbilt University. Jim was the Chief Operating Officer of KODA Enterprises Group. He greatly enjoyed playing tennis, was passionate about music – both singing and guitar playing, and was at peace when fishing at the pond.
Survivors include his daughters April Peden and Layla Peden, sister Michelle (Tim) Bodey, brother Michael Peden, grandchildren Loren Hines, Elizabeth Hines, and Lucas Hines, life-long friend Gaye Woodlee, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Mr. Peden was preceded in death by his parents James Harold Peden and Clara Lucille Emery Peden, and his sisters Kathryn Patterson and Rose Mary Peden.
The funeral service for Jim Peden will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 05, 2024 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Miriam Seyler will officiate. Interment will follow at Charles Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the Peden family will be held at McMinnville Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.
