Obituary of James Frederick Thurston  James “Jim” Frederick Thurston, 82, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday, April 20th.

Mr. Thurston was a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and has been a Huntsville resident since 1977. He was an avid fisherman, expert gardener and enjoyed a successful career as a construction supervisor/project manager.

He is survived by two sons, Ronald and Donald Thurston; a daughter, April Sala; two stepchildren, Grant Ralph and Angelique Rynders; five grandchildren, Hillarey Thurston, Nickolas Thurston, Caleb Freeman, Gregory Ralph and Mary-Kate Rynders. Great grandchildren include Rowan Thurston, Jayce Conaway, Rylee Mae Thurston and Greyson Ralph.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Buna Nadean Thurston; a daughter, Joi Thurston; son, Justin Thurston; stepson, Glenn Ralph; his parents, Ira and Lorraine Sellers Thurston; and a brother, John Thurston.

He will be laid to rest beside his wife and son at Faith Memorial Park.
