James “Jake” Carl McAnally, 82, passed away peacefully at his residence June 26, 2024 surrounded by family. He was the husband of Deborah Stamper McAnally. They shared 53 wonderful years together.
Jake was born in Huntsville, AL and has been a life long resident. he was the son of Carl and Myrtle McAnally. he owned and operated McAnally Painting for 60 years.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons, gardening and spending quality time with his family. He will be remembered for his work ethic, honesty, loyalty to this loved ones and growing the best tomatoes in town.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Stamper McAnally; his brother, Bill McAnally (Debbie); his sons, Jody McAnally (Beth), Jeffrey McAnally (Reanna), and Joshua McAnally; three grandchildren, Danica McAnally, Nathan McAnally and Kinsley McAnally; three bonus grandchildren, Callie, Charlie, and Cruz; his best “furry” friend, Pedro; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Myrtle McAnally; sister, Betty Burgess; and brother, Jerry McAnally.
