James J. Davis, age 86, Hackleburg, Alabama passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Marion County Alabama on Thursday, July 25, 1929 to Augustus and Mary Jane Davis. Visitation will be Monday, September 21, 2015, 12-1 p.m. at Marion County Funeral Home. The service will follow at 1 P.M. in the Chapel, with burial in Forest Crest Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama. Bro. Claude Hand and Bro. Allan Bailey officiating. He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustus Davis and Mary Jane Tidwell Davis; siblings, Vina, Ruby, Bessie, Harley, Marvin, Franklin, Jefferson, Henry, John and 3 infants. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Peggy Davis; children, Jerry Davis (wife, Claudette), Beverly Sharpe (husband, Brad) Montgomery AL.; grandchildren, Derek Decuir (Alisha), Corbette Davis (Erin), Jeri Groce (Hunter), Erin Sharpe; great-grandchildren, Davis Groce, Miller Groce, Enjoli Ferguson, Dylan Decuir; siblings, Leona Nichols, Kenneth Davis and host of nieces, nephews and friends.
