James “J.B.” Brown, age 71 of Addison, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born October 18, 1952 to James Wilson Brown and Joanne Davis. He loved country and mo town music and was easy-going and laid back. J.B. was a friend to many. He had a passion for truck driving and made that his career. J.B. was mischievous with a good sense of humor. He loved children and playing Santa at Christmas. J.B. was an avid Alabama fan.
Visitation will be Friday, August 30, 2024 at Nichols Funeral Homes in Addison, Alabama from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., where service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant in Nesmith Community. Brother Rodney Ridgeway will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Bartlett, Billy Bartlett, Mark Brannon, Darrell Cleghorn, Wes McCain, Shane Privett, Dewayne Wilkins and Chris Woods.
James is survived by his sister, Nancy Privett; brother, Kenneth Davis, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; nephew, Shane Allen Privett; niece, Misty Nichole Privett; also survived by special friends; Wayne and Brenda Bartlett, Billy Joe Bartlett, Alan and Whitley McNew, and their children, Brexley Pippa, and Tripp.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Wilson Brown; mother, Joanne Davis
