James Ira Pack, 91 of Athens, Alabama, passed away on July 6th, 2024, at Hospice Family Care. He was born on September 16th, 1932, to parents Ira Lee Pack and Julia Loca Adcock.
James is survived by his children Karen Hudson & Steve Pack; his grandchildren Jonathan Hudson (Kelly) & Greg Pack; his great-grandchildren Elena Hudson & Evan Hudson; his sister Sandra McCann (Wayne); and his special friend Yvonne Pressnell.
Mr. Pack is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Jeanette Bowers Pack; his sister Dorothy (Billy) Elkins; and his second wife Betty Buchanan Pack.
A visitation will be held at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home on July 9th, 2024, from 2pm to 2:50pm with services following at 3pm. Jonathan Hudson, Greg Pack, Sam Buchanan, Tim Buchanan, Mike Pressnell, and Sam King will be his pallbearers with Buc Chumbley officiating and Randy Adams leading prayer. The burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
James was on the E-911 Board for many years and was also a crop insurance adjuster. Overall, he enjoyed farming the most.
