James Hugh Beckham was born November 4, 1938 in Lutts, TN the son of the late Hugh Beckham and Cleo Daniels Beckham. He was united in marriage to Edith Mullens in 1962 and she preceded him in death on November 22, 2001. James honorably served his country in the United States Navy. James worked for many years at Ford Motor Company then retired form Murray Ohio as a quality inspector. He was also a member of Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, TN. James departed this life on July 16, 2023 in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 84 years, 8 months, and 12 days.
He is survived by sons, Gregory Beckham of Waynesboro, TN, Robert Beckham of Savannah, TN, and Scott Beckham of Lawrenceburg, TN; a sister, Sharon Davenport of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Lindsey Crosslin, Coty Beckham, Nick Beckham, Casey Beckham, Caine Beckham, Bailey Beckham, Phoenix Beckham, Dakota Beckham, and Harley Beckham; great grandchildren, Katelyn, Brody, Keenan, Silas, and Cash; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, James was preceded in death by a grandchild, Branston Beckham; brothers, Jobie Beckham and Charles Beckham; and great grandchild, Riley Anne Marie.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm service time at Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Green River Baptist church in Waynesboro, TN with Nick Beckham and Kerry Franks officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Collinwood, TN with Military Rites. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
Pallbearers will be C.J. Crosslin, Caine Beckham, Dakota Beckham, Thomas Edwards, Angel Pantoja, and Coty Beckham.
