James Houston Seay, 84, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012, at his residence. Mr. Seay was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Southside Baptist Church. He was retired as a building contractor. The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens. Officiating will be Steve Counts. The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday night. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Johnnie Horton Seay; sons, Lance Seay and Bob Seay both of Russellville; brother, Austin Seay, Russellville; sisters, Mary Curtis and Daisy Hawkins, both of Russellville, Janey Hankie, Mobile; grandchildren, Ann Seay, Susan Seay, Bradley Seay, and Kerby Seay Smith; special niece, Mary Steele Winchester. He was preceded in death by parents, James and Inez Seay; brother, Carl Seay; sisters, Annie Mae Counts, Rae Adams, Nell Beam, Katherine Brown; daughter-in-law, Scarlet Seay. Pallbearers will be Tommy Baker, Keith Brown, Bill Counts, Danny Counts, Doug Henderson, and Ronnie Hovater. Honorary bearers will be Al Horton, Joe Hamilton, Jimmy Montgomery, and Jimmy Seay.
