James Hodges, 55, died July 23, 2017. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Sunday in the chapel at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Mack Dean will be officiating. Interment will be at Shoals Memorial Gardens.
He was a lifelong resident of the Shoals. After spending time as a truck driver he was a diesel mechanic where he spent many years at Shoals Diesel. James enjoyed riding motorcycles, but more than anything else he enjoyed being grandpa. Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine Elizabeth Cole and Douglas O’Neal Hodges.
He is survived by son, Zackary Hodges; daughters, Amanda and Angela Hodges; brother, Ty Hodges; sisters, Allison Camp Gordon, Kelly Sonner, and Stacy Williford; and grandchildren, Tatum, Brylee, Tannon “T”, Viktoria, Dylan, and Tyler.
Pallbearers will be Roy Wilson, Randy Hodges, Dylan Keeton, Baxter Clement, Erik Robinson, Jonathan Tackett, Jeff Jack, and Ben Hamm.
