James Hillard Boatwright, 82, of Florence, passed away, September 4, 2023. There will be a private family funeral with Bill Newman officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg.
James was a member of Grace Life Church and a lifelong resident of the Shoals , he worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Albert and Quida Boatwright; brother, Kenneth Boatwright.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rachel Boatwright; sons, Dexter Boatwright and Darrell Boatwright (Pam); brother, Ricky Boatwright (Lana);sister, Linda Bagwell (Bobby); 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be, Derek Boatwright, Zack Boatwright, Corey Pounders, Mason Boatwright, Steve Jones, and Colby Jones.
