Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Mr. James Henry McGee, age 71 of Winchester. James passed from this life on Thursday, April 3, 2020 at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga. He was born on April 8, 1948 in Lynchburg, Tennessee to the late Oscar and Rose McGee. James was of the Christian faith and loved attending church. He enjoyed singing, dancing and listening to Gospel music. James was a happy man and always kept a smile on his face. He was employed for the Franklin County School System as a custodian for 15 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Rose McGee; two brothers, Earl and David (the late Edith) Hendon; two sisters, Linda Buckner and Deborah McGee. He leaves to cherish his memories to his sisters, Judy (James) Burdette of Louisville, Kentucky, Barbara (Ronnie) Hoyd of Wartrace, and Paulette McGee of Tullahoma; brothers, Oscar (Nita) McGee, Jerry McGee, William (Delores) McGee all of Lynchburg, and Ricky (Iris) McGee of Flat Creek; step-daughter, Yashica Greer of Winchester; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hendon of Shelbyville; and a host of other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 1:00PM at Watson-North Memorial Park. A register book will be placed outside the front entrance of the funeral home on Tuesday between the hours of 9:00am-12:00pm for those who would like to stop by and sign.
