Funeral service for Mr. Minor will beat 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Oak Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church Florence, Alabama with Rev. Raymond Swafford, Eulogist and Rev. Charles Holsey, Jr. Pastor. Burial will be in Simmons Cemetery, Florence, AL. The body will be placed in the church at 10:00 a.m. The public viewing will be Monday, 10:00 a.m. -8:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 37 years, Dorothy Lucille Minor; daughters, Debarsie Minor, Florence, AL and TaQuitia Winn, Mobile, AL; sons, Timothy Minor, Florence, AL and James (Felicia) White II, Richmond, KY; special great grandchild, Jaiden Minor; nine grandchildren, Dominque Minor, Briana Minor, Alexis Minor, Jasmine (Eric) Pochynok, Megan Proctor, Destiny White, Matthew Winn, Haylee Winn, Hannah Winn, ten great grandchildren; mother, Mattie Louise (John “Chick”) Waits, Florence, AL; five sisters, Betty Junette (Edward-deceased) Key, Elizabeth (James) White, Linda Marie Williams, Sarah “Dottie” (Rae) Phyfer, all of Florence, AL and Myrdice (Darrell) Andrews of Sheffield, AL; four brothers, Ralph “Butchie” (Cynthia) Minor, Muscle Shoals, AL, Bobby Rondell Minor, Willie Alexander Minor, Kenneth Ozell Minor all of Florence, AL; three aunts, Carrie V. Grant, Syracuse, NY Hattie Deweaver, Southfield, MI Bertha Gadd, Newark, NJ; sister-in-law, Edna (Willie-deceased) Young, Muscle Shoals, AL; brother-in-law, James (Millie) McKinley, Newark, NJ. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and devoted friends, Charity Johnson, William “Turk” H. Perkins, and Emmit “Hammer” Reeder.
