Funeral service for James “Harvey” Weeks, age 77, of Hartselle, will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jonathan Sherrill officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Weeks, who died Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, was born August 16, 1946, in Alabama to James Otis Weeks and Annie Ruth Jones Weeks. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Weeks; parents; three brothers, Leslie Weeks, Delta Weeks, and Jimbo Weeks. He loved and cared for his family, as well as his many friends. Spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was a joy for him, as was cheering on the Crimson Tide.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda (Brackin) Weeks; daughter, Cyndie Huffman (Greg); five brothers, Roger Weeks (Lorri), Glenn Weeks, Roy Lee Weeks (Betty Ross), Wayne Weeks, and Howard Weeks (Molly); five sisters, Jeanette Blazer, Judy Wells, Carolyn Hall, Sandra Siegle (Bill), and Wanda Dewberry (Randy); four grandchildren, Meagan Weeks, Kayla Nantz, Leeanna Roden, and Connery Sandlin; and seven great-grandchildren, Kayden Weeks, Kennedy Weeks, Emma Roden, Amaya Hampton, Tommy Lee Roden, Janiyah Elliott, and Ryker Patricio.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
