Funeral service for James Harold “Jim” Wright, Jr., 79, will be Monday, November 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at West Hartselle Baptist Church with Dr. Edwin Hayes and Rev. Greg Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at West Hartselle Baptist Church.
Mr. Wright died on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. He was born June 27, 1944, in Morgan County, to James Harold Wright, Sr. and Allie Mae Coffey Wright.
Mr. Wright was a member and Deacon of West Hartselle Baptist Church, where he served as Minister of Music for 25 years before retiring. He also served at First Baptist Church of Hartselle to be Interim Minister of Music and also led the music for his Senior Adult Bible Study Group on Wednesdays. He also upheld a 34 year career as a Math Teacher, Assistant Principal at Crestline and of Hartselle Jr. High, before retiring from the Hartselle City School System. Mr. Wright was a great storyteller, enjoyed huntung and loved to eat. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His paretns preceded him in death.

Grandchildren – Kylie Wright
Brayden Wright
Farrah Wright.
Pallbearers will be Paul Wright, Blake Wright, Brayden Wright, Jerry Lee, Greg Williams, Chris Lake and Randy Chasteen.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class of West Hartselle Baptist Church
In lieu of flowers, family wishes memorial donations be made to the Gideon’s International.
