James H. (Jimmy) Baughman – Obituary

James H. (Jimmy) Baughman, of Huntsville, 55, passed away Monday at his residence in Huntsville, Ala.
Jimmy had a career as a musician playing drums in various bands in Alabama and Georgia during the past 35 years. His musical career included performing at venues in the Southeast as well as providing percussion tracks during studio recording sessions in Nashville.
Survivors include his father, John Baughman; sister, Ann Porter and husband, Steve; and nieces Becky Porter and Alison Porter.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Elgin W. Baughman.
Jimmy enjoyed writing and playing his music with a wide network of close friends located in Alabama and the Atlanta area. In addition to music, Jimmy had a remarkable knowledge of cars, motorcycle racing and all profession team sports.
A memorial service in Athens for Jimmy will be announced at a later date. Jimmy will be buried in the Baughman family plot in Hustonville, Ky.
