A Funeral Service for James H. Haynes, 86, of Oxford is Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Pastor Rannie Childress officiating. Burial will follow at Lineville City Cemetery.
James spent his whole life in Alabama and loved the outdoors. He served in the National Guard and worked in a sawmill most of his life. He loved machinery and always enjoyed time on his tractor.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Nancy Gay Haynes and several other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded by his parents Hughell Haynes and Emma Elizabeth Lett Haynes and by a brother, Jack Haynes.
A visitation is scheduled for Sunday before the service from 1:00 until 2:00 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
